As my previous web developers were unable to continue their work, my application was to be transferred to Blackbit. In June, there was a detailed first meeting on this, including an initial cost estimate. It then took three months before a concrete offer was submitted. As there was initially no time pressure, this was not a problem for me. It became a problem when the offer was three times higher than the original estimate - i.e. around €7,000 more than initially forecast. This deviation was neither commented on nor explained in the quote, which in my opinion was absolutely cheeky.
When I subsequently asked by email whether they would like to comment on the increased costs, there was still no response weeks later. However, I had already rejected the offer in this e-mail. Even then, I expect a different kind of communication from a professional agency than embarrassing silence.
